Chelsea's Under-21s, Under-19s (in some seasons) and Under-18s are the latter stages of the development process for young players at the club.
The Under-19 age group represents the Academy in European competition due to the age regulations for the UEFA Youth League. The squad consists of players who also feature in our Under-18 and Under-21 teams.
The UEFA Youth League mirrors the group stage of the Champions League for clubs that have qualified for that first-team competition, with a seperate qualifying tournament for national youth team league champions. They come together for the knockout stage with the semi-finals and final played over a four-day period in Switzerland.
