Players and fans enjoy Googly Challenge

Three lucky competition winners visited Cobham recently to take part in a series of special challenges alongside members of the team.

The BridgeKids - Nyreece Taylor, Daniel Fitzgerald and Maise Collumbell – were selected as winners of the competition after submitting videos of their best penalties and subsequent celebrations, and invited down to the club’s training ground where they were delighted to meet and be paired up with Pedro, Willian and Toni Rudiger, who then took part in the challenges with the youngsters.

In the first task they had to wear a pair of special goggles, which make it difficult to see clearly, and attempt to draw a picture of a football. The challenge proved to be far more difficult than it may sound, and it was Daniel and Willian who eventually emerged victorious.

Then, in the second challenge, the children were tasked with taking penalties while once again wearing the goggles, with the players on hand to offer their expert advice, and this time around, after a dramatic shoot-out, it was Maise and Rudiger who came out on top after sudden death.

Club mascots Stamford and Bridget were on hand to make their day even more memorable, and you can see a selection of images below.
