Remembrance shirts up for auction
news Wed 6 Dec 2017
The exclusive poppy-embroidered match-issued shirts from our 1-0 victory against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge in November are now available to buy to raise funds for the Royal British Legion.
The shirts with the poppy on the chest, including those of match-winner Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard, are being auctioned via eBay. The poppy is the official symbol of the Legion and originates from the poppy fields of Flanders, the scene of some of the most tragic battles in the First World War.
Also, for the first time, the match-issued shirts from Chelsea Ladies league fixture at Reading will also be available to buy.
Each shirt is signed by the respective player with all money raised going towards the Legion, which helps men and women from the Armed Forces and their families, offering financial, social and emotional support.
The British Legion-run auction will be open until 8pm on Friday 15 December. Click here for the poppy shirt auction page.
