Internationals: Young England progress

England Under-19s, with four Chelsea players completing the whole game, made it three wins from three and secured top spot in their Euro qualification campaign.

Reece James, Trevoh Chalobah, Dujon Sterling and Mason Mount (pictured) were our players involved in a 1-0 win away in Bulgaria on Tuesday afternoon, which following on from victories against Faroe Islands and Iceland, ensures this young England group go into December’s draw of the Elite Qualification Round for the next European Championships as one of the top seeds.

The deciding goal was scored by Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho who headed home a James cross after the Chelsea defender’s run had been found by a long pass from Mount, who was later denied a goal himself by a good save.

At Under-21 level, Danilo Pantic helped Serbia to a 1-0 away win in Armenia. His side top their Euro qualification group with five wins out of five.

Jay Dasilva started for England Under-20s in a 2-1 Elite League defeat in Germany. The home side scored twice before the break, with Harvey Barnes netting a late consolation for the visitors.

Clinton Mola was an unused substitute for England Under-17s as they beat Germany 2-1 in a friendly at Rotherham's New York Stadium, Reading's Jack Nolan scoring the winner four minutes from time.
