Conte, Cahill and Diego Costa in running for December’s best

Chelsea are again well represented in the nominations for the Premier League's monthly awards.
December contained six wins out of six for the Blues and as a consequence, Antonio Conte is nominated for Manager of the Month having already won the award for October and November.
Diego Costa, who won the EA Sports Player of the Month award last month, is nominated for December’s equivalent following four goals in those six games, and Gary Cahill who captained the side and was part of the defence which conceded just three goals, is also among the nominees for Player of the Month. The award was won by Eden Hazard in October so Chelsea are going for a hat-trick in that too.
The winners are decided by a combination of fans votes and the views of an expert panel, with club captains also having a say in the player award.
